Far too many people are convicted of horrible crimes in which they have not committed. A macabre club of people that have been killed then later found innocent has 152 members. However some people are lucky and are exonerated before they are put to death and even then they serve a life sentence. It is suspected that many more people have had the same fate. In the past year alone there has been nine people freed from a death sentence because of their innocence. It's all too common for cases to be debunked after such a consequence such as death is received, and then prosecuted. It just takes time and consideration for the death penalty to be pursued.
