Greek Demonstrations Turn Violent

Just about each year around this time, students and workers and anarchists from all over Greece take over the Athens polytechnic to celebrate the 1973 student uprising. The students were protesting the Greek military agenda that ruled the nation from 1967-1974. To commemorate the uprising every year they protest. The protest ends in Exarchia a neighborhood made famous for being the birthplace of the anarchist movement in Greece. During the protests it tends to turn violent and leads to death for a few. The police will use tear gas, rubber bullets, flash bangs, and batons till the protests diminish.

Rolling Stone and Rape on Campus

Rolling Stone the popular magazine published an article telling of a rape incident on the university of Virginia campus. The victim was Jackie a freshman in the university. The magazine recognized that there was mistakes in the article. The journalist of the article even failed to contact the victim. Over the past couple years there has been quite a lot rape and sexual assault allegations at many campuses around the country. Due to the Clery Act campuses are to publish crime to the proper authorities but campuses have been known to have their shortcomings in this range. Although  campy sexual violence remains all too real there does happen to be false reports as well. With 2-8% of the reports being false.

America Created ISIS

In this documentary piece by vice Mark Danner talks about how the Bush administration failed to show how much of a disruption we would create in the Middle East. It didn't just start with the Bush administration, it started with the Reagan administration when they gave power and money to the militant groups of these areas. The funds and weaponry and information we gave them to fight the soviets backfired and led to us being attacked on 9/11 by the very same groups we helped. In term we helped Al Qeada grow and ISIS is just its spawn. A more heated, more angry spawn. 2,996 died on 9/11 the wars after killed 2,500,000 people. http://youtu.be/GU2avVIHde8

Blockbuster Wireless Auction

The Federal Communications Commision is auctioning off wireless frequencies. Much of which are going for tens of billions of dollars. Show the world how truly much telecommunications markets are booming. Even though these companies are bidding for this it doesn't seem right to the FCC for what they are auctioning off. Due to the president trying to limit the companies such as Verizon and Sprint from having too much of a share in a market aka a monopoly. But some of the money raised will be used for firstnet which is used commonly by police and fire fighters and other public safety agencies. We however suspect that these biddings will go to court if Obamas plan goes into place.

Libya.. A Broken State

It's been three years since the Libyan revolution and the fall of Qaddafi. Libya since then has become a state of anarchy. With militant groups being the ultimate rule rather than policy and government. There has become a Muslim uprising of jihadists groups. All these groups are seeking control of the Libyan lands to control the oil and the money that comes with the oil. The land and the people are distraught with terror and clashes from the Qaddafi militias and the jihadists and the people's militias.

Sealing Juvenile Records

For some juvenile delinquents they look towards adulthood as a second chance at a better life. However many states don't seal records for youths turning adults. However if you're looking for a better life as an adult. And trying to turn around your life it's harder. The juvenile courts are not sealing their records for good as they enter adulthood therefore effecting the new adults for the rest of their lives in fields like jobs and education.

Ongoing Search For Missing Students

On September 26th 43 students that were en route to Iguala were taken away by police but during this clash 6 people were killed. Investigators say that the police had acted at behest to the Iguala mayor and are feared that the 43 students were turned over to the Guerreros Unidos cartel. All 43 students are believed to be killed. But the family of the students pray they're okay. With this happening the police and the law have become scrutinized by the people over how they can just let someone of that power do such a thing. And there's marching and protesting to overturn the governemt as a whole.

Genital Mutilation in Egypt

The country of Egypt undergoes quite a horrible and oppressive act done to many women. They're mutilated at the rate of 91% of all women living in Egypt they've had their genitals mutilated to take away pleasures. UNICEF estimates that around 125 million women in 29 countries are mutilated each year. The opinion editor is one of the few fortunate women in Egypt to not have undergone the procedure. The UN and other countries have made treaties and whatnot declaring that genital mutilation of women is taking away a human right.

Afghanistan Poppy Harvest

The UN today has brought up the issue about poppy cultivation hitting record high. Even though Afghan has led a thirteen year long campaign against the cultivation of poppy (poppy is the root of the opiate drug heroin). With about a half a million acres of poppy plants in Afghanistan the country could go into a narco state with withdrawal of US and Allie forces.

Egyptian Militants Kill Off Duty Soldiers and Police

Egypts restive Sinai peninsula has been in a major surge of militants and jihadists and military uprising. But today five police/soldiers of Egypt were killed by Ansar Beit a Muslim military group. The group is known to be allies of the controversial jihadist group ISIS. The Egyptian police/military is unsure whether or not Ansar Beit actually performed this or if they are just taking claim to a act of violence that wasn't actually done by them.

Sands Own Vacation

Many happen to think sand stays in one place but in reality it moves all around and travels the world. Today 75%-90% of the worlds natural beaches are slowly disappearing. This however leads to the sand and gravel companies booming with projects to refurbish the beaches before spring and summer projects millions. We need to stop taking sand for granted and look at it as a natural resource before it diminishes and all is at the bottom of the sea.

What Are You Afraid Of?

Often not a tiny bit more than half of all Americans believe that gang violence and child abductions have increased over the past twenty years but in reality they have decreased over that time. Along with those fears many Americans fear things such as identity theft, walking alone at night and speaking in public. But a shocking result was that many were afraid natural disasters but few of those actually had emergency supplies or a kit ready. The research team plans on taking these survies of the people annually and that it would show people that America has improved drastically.

A British Message to Israel

So Israel is building and expanding their territories and even though other countries have been like "hey man stop that's illegal" Israel just keeps going ahead and continuing what they're doing. Pretty much Israel and Palestine have no real set borders and this is causing a lot of conflict and many other things as well. And it's just leading to more and more death. All the while Britain is saying that Israel needs to settle down and stop attacking.

Fight Against Ebola

When the fight against Ebola has taken over central Africa this homeless shelter turns into a treatment center against the virus. It also provides training for volunteers to fight against the outbreak so it won't take anymore lives. The outbreak is so bad that there's quarintine camps, where people go to see if their symptoms worsen or not. If they do they stay if they don't change they leave the next day. If they go away they leave too. But most end up dying. However though the few that survive the Ebola are said to be immune to the entire virus itself and they are looking for a cure from this.

Dying with Dignity

In 1997 Oregon created the death with dignity act, allowing citizens to obtain life ending prescriptions from a physician. You have to be a mentally healthy 18+ Oregon citizen. Some doctors however find this morally corrupt. Saying that it goes against their reasons for being a doctor and whatnot. Ultimately I completely agree with Oregon and I even believe that if you want to end your life on your own terms you should be able to do it as soon as possible.

Fighting for Mother Nature

In France a forest is about to be destroyed and the French Eco activists have tried peaceful protests to get the police/government to stop destroying this forest. Quite odd as the police had made it turn from peaceful to a miniature war. The Eco activists are tying themselves to trees, living in them and trying hard to keep them. But in the end it turns into a altercation with rocks, bombs, tear gas and fire.

Obstacles to College

Students of Princeton university are calling on the university's administration to stop the recieving of criminal information from the state. At NYU (New York University) they are leading a campaign of incarceration to education coalition. Pretty much they're saying that past involvement with the judicial system shouldn't affect a person aiming to receive a higher education.

Mohammad has been in prison has set a record for the longest hunger strike recorded in Egyptian prisons. Not only him but other too have joined him in this hunger strike to show protest the inhumane conditions of the Egyptian prison system. Some of the guards have tried to force feed the prisoners but it has yet to succeed. Hopefully Soltan doesn't

The Threats to America from the Islamic State

The Islamic state has released a one minute video portraying war and violence between United States troops and jihadists. The video is a trailer for a full length propaganda movie being created. However the video is of poor quality made using computer generated fires and explosions. Overall it's just a way to try and get attention to make Obama send ground combat troops to the Middle East. Nothing more than an annoyance, the equivalent to a kid taunting another kid to a fight.

Scotland's Moment of Destiny

Today Thursday September eighteenth Scotland is voting on whether or not to leave the United Kingdom and become its own country. Scotland has been a very independent land, they pretty much function as a country with their own parliament and seperate systems from the rest of the United Kingdom. However the rest of the United Kingdom wants them to stay and are using threats to keep them in the Kingdom. They told them they won't let Scotland keep the British sterling as a currency if they break apart from them. Which is holding many Scots back from voting a definite yes.

Anti-Japanese Wartime Shows Dominate Chinese Television

The genre of anti-Japanese wartime shows has taken about 70% of the Chinese television market.  The Chinese government is pumping money into these shows to improve patriotism in the Chinese public. These shows seem to be fueled from Chinese and Japanese tension that has been there since World War Two. This has however led to many different outcomes for china, with some Chinese becoming full on nationalists and patriots wanting to fight to the death for China, while others have flocked to Japan and some have embraced Japanese culture while still living in China.

Israeli and Palestinian Kidnappings

Israelis had kidnapped a young teen by the name of Mohammad Khadeir, and burnt him alive because of Palestinian protests, the neighborhood he lived in held a walking funeral and it turned into a protest and a violent one at that. The Palestinian side threatened that for every one man the Israelis kill/kidnap they will kill/kidnap ten. "The blood of Mohammad Khadeir will not be forgotten" said one Palestinian citizen. The city of Jerusalem had wouldn't let men aged 16-40 enter the city because the threat of a bombing was more open. The end of the video is a protest and as you see the protest ends peacefully.

http://nyti.ms/1qxDrQd
What truly makes a man poor is it the absence of someone in their lives or is it society? Does having a father affect the male or female child more? Well statistically the male child would have a lessened chance to truly succeed in life compared to the female child. What else affects the child?  Well obviously the location and the social structure around the growing child will have drastic changes to the child.  What makes people poor? Way too much.
