European Unions Army

The European Union wants a army of its own. President of the European Union Jean-Claude Juncker proposed to establish a army for the union. The Army is needed to counter such security threats, such as Russia. Juncker told a german newspaper that an army serving for the European Union would improve collective security and reduce costs of the individual countries. Russian politicians however believe that the army would provoke conflicts with Russia. In my opinion I believe the European Union should create an army, due to the conflicts in Ukraine with Russia and growing insurgency and militant groups.
