Greek Demonstrations Turn Violent

Just about each year around this time, students and workers and anarchists from all over Greece take over the Athens polytechnic to celebrate the 1973 student uprising. The students were protesting the Greek military agenda that ruled the nation from 1967-1974. To commemorate the uprising every year they protest. The protest ends in Exarchia a neighborhood made famous for being the birthplace of the anarchist movement in Greece. During the protests it tends to turn violent and leads to death for a few. The police will use tear gas, rubber bullets, flash bangs, and batons till the protests diminish.
